Activity

Multimodal posters

You will create a multimodal poster which presents your understanding of solar energy. You are creating this poster to inform someone about solar energy who has never heard of it before and has no idea what it is. So, make sure you include everything you have learnt this week and do some further research of your own!

You should include in your poster:

· What solar energy is?

· How is solar energy collected?

· What are some common everyday objects powered by solar energy?

· The advantages and disadvantages of solar energy

You should make sure that your poster includes various ways to engage and inform

For example, using pictures, writing, videos etc.

You will make your multimodal poster on the Glogster website: https://edu.glogster.com/

Don’t forget to save it as you go.

Once your multimodal poster is complete, upload your posters link on the class padlet under the ‘Week 2: Multimodal posters’ heading to share it with your classmates. You should comment on at least 1 of your peers posts to share something you have learnt from their poster.

Activity

  Three

Kahoot!

Your final task for this week is to create your very own Kahoot quiz. You must include 5 questions on solar energy that will test out what your peers have learnt this week.

Once your Kahoot is complete, post your Kahoot code on the class padlet under the ‘Week 2: Kahoot quizzes’ heading. Make sure you take the time to take your peers’ quizzes to test your solar energy knowledge. Comment on your peers’ padlet posts to let them know what you scored on their quizzes.
